Indulge in autumn

I love the world that autumn builds in my heart. I love the smell of the morning chill and the one of the afternoon rain. I love the memory of that first evening when the autumn breeze smashes down the window and I finally reach for an extra cover. I love the coziness of cinnamon tea, roasted chestnuts and warm blankets. But what I love the most is how the nature plays with colours in this season.

And somehow I wish I could keep in my heart this autumnal feeling whenever the other three seasons take over. Because I need autumn every day in my life: to feel contradictions and disorientation and then to fall back into place.

Two years ago I discovered the gardens of Meise. They are located few kilometers outside Brussels. I went back there yesterday and spent a sunny day with a friend, walking the paths covered with leaves, listening to the silence and letting ouselves hypnotized by the pretty show that autumn put up. And of course, we indulged in the famous Belgian waffle and drank white wine before lunchtime.

… and here is a visual summary of the season as I’ve seen it today (accompanied by quotes about autumn).

Make time for autumn, make time to see the town and the nature and the people changing under the spell of this season. Talk, love, befriend people! and finally…. just indulge in autumn!
